STATE v. HENRY, 2024 S.D. 30: After receiving Defendant’s guilty
plea to 1st degree Manslaughter, the Trial Court sentenced Defendant
to 75 years in prison to be served consecutively to her DUI 4th
sentence. The sole issue raised on appeal
was alleged abuse of discretion in sentencing.
The SD Supreme Court affirmed in a unanimous (5-0) ruling, with a per
curiam opinion.
